Train Set House

At the start of the pandemic, I was tasked with modeling a house for a model train set. Originally it was going to be full HO scale, 1:87, but I had to tone it down a touch to fit on my printer which wasn’t a terrible loss and I got to learn a lot about model train scales. The client built the physical model out of cardboard and pencils which I took a bunch of images of, imported into blender, and made a 1:1 scale 3D low-poly model of the house. I then went in and using reference photos of the actual house, added all the little details. Once the model was finished, I printed this bad boy out which took well over a day and some change and failed at least twice before I got a solid, usable print. The client then took my model, painted it up, and placed it in its forever home in the train set!
