I am Frank E Sanabria II, illustrator, designer, writer, and entertainer. I am currently in the Emerging Media Design and Development graduate program at Ball State University.
I have explored the depths of the ocean aboard the USS Olympia, provided IT service for small medical practices in North Carolina, played in a bluegrass band out of Savannah, attended the Art Institute of Jacksonville for animation, and repaired electrical systems of fighter aircraft. Of all my diverse experiences, I believe the best one is still coming. My passion is for art and storytelling.
My latest projects include directing and engineering Phase Eight Theater Company’s 2021 production of Food of Love and a Social Media Toolkit for the Indiana Center for the Prevention of Youth Abuse and Suicide through my graduate program.
These days I live in Jacksonville with my gecko, which, like me, is a fan of hanging out upside down and eating crickets.
My freelance work consists of illustration projects such as murals, comics, character design, tattoo design, logos, and labels. I have acted in, painted sets, and created sound for shows produced by the 5 & Dime Theater, ABET, Phase 8, and Self Produced Theater. I can also be found teaching at the Painting With A Twist in San Marco, writing as a graduate assistant for the BSU Foundation, and teaching Comics and Sequential Art at Ivy Tech.
